Claire graduated with an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia Journalism School, where she dove into business, health and political reporting. She wrote a 5,000-word magazine story that investigated vertigo as a chronic condition and the disconnect between unspecialized doctors and unsatisfied patients.

 

After graduating, she became an associate editor at AARP The Magazine (the most read magazine in America), where she explored the health and personal finance beats. She wrote about topics like easing financial stressors, safe deposit boxes, tax changes, the rising costs of weddings, and debunking viral claims on dementia prevention.

She's now an associate editor at The Hill, where she edits (and occasionally writes) breaking stories about all things D.C. politics.
